Trust me no one is going to get a snorkel before me. :flamethrwoer2:
We need to replace me snorkel sooner than later, as it was NEVER meant to be a prototype on my rig as long as it has.
And the snorkel is not being announced at SEMA. Likely early 2017. As soon as I head up to Renton for the validation fitting on an injection molded one, you'll know.
I've seen the new front bumper, it's definitely an improvement. Still wish it had recovery points.

Actually no it's not. It has some characteristics of the Summit bumper but it's still got quite a bit of that big boat bow thing going on from the last one.
I wish I could post the pictures of it, but you'll see it announced real soon.

Maybe it's not exactly the same. But I couldn't tell from first glance that it's way different. To me it's basically the same as the Summit ARB Tacoma bumper from first seeing the picture. Not a bad thing.

Sadly it still sits too low for my taste due to where the frame rails are on the 4runner. It's certainly better than the last version but it's not sucked up high to the body like the Tacoma.

I would go for another ARB front bumper in a heartbeat....taking to an ARB rep back in August, he said it has similar characteristics of the Summit bumper. I'm definitely going with matching paint this time.
As far as a recovery points... you have a winch. There are also 2 slots located in the front for lifting with a hi jack.

Personally if I were going to go with an aftermarket front bumper I would only use ARB.
I have been toying with the idea of an ARB front bumper and a FLIR unit. Let the deer decide to cross or not to cross lol.

One of the best bumpers I have had as a general use bumper tht and the TJM I had on my Land Rover Dsco. Dan thing is bullet prof I have had three of them so far. I too if going for an all around bumper would not hesitate to get another one. I have had come back from a deployment when my wife tells me that she got in an accident. Showed me pics of the totaled other vehicle and just a small rub mark on the bumper. Plus to the antelope (land speed goat) that we hit in Colorado and driving through Wyoming not a mark besides blood. Cant beat that in the woods in regards to animals or protestors etc. People tend to get out of the way with that thing in front of the truck!

Do you know how a snatch block works? If so you're unable to use one without recovery points.

Do you know know your truck already has two recovery points in the front below the bumper?
Maybe not the perfect place, but every extracation is different....plus 3/4's of the people that have a front bumper like that, don't even own a snatch block...or a tree strap...or a piece of chain....
