ARB LINX - Just when you thought you are done with mods!

i watched the demo on this at SEMA this year. I thought the suggested price starting price was $699. The phone unit is not optional, and is held in place by some powerful magnet. We asked the rep why this was better than a SPOD, and he demonstrated the functionality by showing us how the buttons powered on/off a series of lights and the bed-mounted compressor.

Another product that I thought was interesting was the Trigger Six shooter, which was in a small booth against the wall. $350.

Interesting, I didn't think that was much of a selling point because those features like that are for the most part expected...

I thought most of these products had some sort of program-ability or state of circuit control anyways.

The SwitchPro for example its very easy to change a switch to be controlled via logic to be always available, ignition controlled, or some other parameter be in switch, momentary or whatever.

I know everyone had different needs and wants so shop based off what looks best for you.

I have even seen people just make their own using an Arduino for dirt cheap... One guy had a DTMF tone decoder attached and used his handheld ham radio for control or a relay rack. Really cool considering the range in which he could have control.

At first I was excited as I do need a controller for lights and ARB compressor for tire inflation and deflation.

That being said the price of the basic unit is $695 and the pressure control unit is another $213.75. So, you are looking at $900 vs about a $600 or so for the SwitchPro plus having to be on next to the tire to inflate/deflate. I think for the price difference I'll stand next to the tires. Now, if I had ARB air lockers etc. then it might have made sense to stick to one vendor.

Reviving this thread since it's been a while since this product released. Anyone have any real world experience with it?

I am on the edge of getting the linx, but it seems there’s not a lot of people running it. I’m looking online for review and all that. I could get the system for 615. Compared to switch pros 9100,s for 575. Any thoughts would be appreciated
