ARB Locker (RD132) Gear ratio?

I'm helping my son learn about locking diff's as he saves up to buy ARB's rear locker for his '97 SR5 V6. We haven't been able to figure out which gear ratio he has but haven't sweated it too much knowing that unlike the e-lockers, the ARB worked for any ratio. I'm guessing this is because the ARB locker replaces everything rather than having to mate up to existing gears?

What I'd really like to know is what gear ratio will we have after installing the ARB. Can anyone help us confirm our assumptions and/or understand what we'll be converting to?

Your gear ratio will not change because during the install, you will remove the ring gear from the factory differential carrier and put it on the ARB.

You use the same R+P when installing a locker, so if you ever thought about regearing, now's the time to do it. You'll save a lot of $$$ on labor just tearing everything apart one time.
If you think you have the stock gears, get the axle code from the VIN plate. Should be in the lower right corner. A letter and a few numbers.
Then go online and find one of the many Toyota gear decoding charts.

BTW, you probably have 4.10 or 4.30 gears, the most common, depending if you have an auto or manual trans.
