ut I am a little perturbed because the generalization that you made here is common and COMPLETELY misguided and wrong.
Its hard to argue Aesthetics, but I CAN argue ignorance,
there's no ignorance here, and your love for all that is tube is blinding you from the ability to see things from another persons eyes, like i said i understand how the tube guys love the looks of thier bumpers and you my personally feel that it looks finished to you, but ask any blonde chick standing on the side of the street and they will tell you the same that i am, and yes the blonde chick is stupid and don't know jack, but that's my point anybody who has never wheeled or knows what a tube bumper is for would agree that they do not look completed or hacked up on the ride, so i guess in a way you can call it ignorance for not recognizing the performance value
but based purely on looks and not knowing what aftermarket bumpers are actually made for anyone would agree the tube bumpers make the truck look less complete....basically ask you're mom what she thinks, as in which one looks more finished. yeah i know it's not cool, but then again i never pretend to be cool either so, i just go for what i like and i prefer the plate bumpers as well as your mom, lol, not like that...
case in point, you can see the guts in both of those bumpers and neither one i think you would argue is ill thought out, it's just the nature of the beast, i mean just look where the heck the plate is mounted and then try to tell me that there's not alot of extra things exposed....
again it's personal preference on what you like or don't like, i'm just stating what a majority of the plate bumper owners think here, it's not like what i'm saying here is anything new or never been heard of before, it's the common debate on athetics and tube vs plate.
i mean let me put it like this, of course the tube bumper crowed isn't going to think it looks hacked up or over exposed, if they thought that they wouldn't have gone with the tube bumper in the first palce, that said why doesn't everyone go with a tube bumper? because "SOME" people think they looked 1/2 done and hacked up, i mean why wouldn't you want a lighter bumper that is just as strong and has better ventilation then a plate bumper?
it's because it's exactly as i said, some people feel they look hacked up or don;t like the exposed stuff behind them.
so trust me no ignorance here man, you know i've been around here long enough to know most of the manufactures who make these things, so i've seen the well made ones plenty, it's just a personal opinion on appearance.
i can understand you saying that to someone who's been here for like a week with a post count of 10 but come on man, calling me ignorant because i don't like what you do is stupid.
can we at least agree bob probert and marty mcsorley were both bad asses?
lol.......
