Are 285's possible?

I have been searching and have not completely satisfied my questions.

I have an 04 4runner 4wd with a Daystar 2.5/1.5 with oem 265/70/16's right now.....looking at a set of factory 17's with 285/70/17 nitto terra grapplers.....will they fit? Am I going to need wheel spacers? Thx in advance!

I rubbed the UCAs until I got spidertrax. Now I rub the wheel well and I need to do some light trimming.

I have 275/55/20 nitto terra grappler, they rub a little at full look and when i'm reversing, with mud flap being cut, but i think i need to cut it more. I also have daystar kit and no wheel spacer. but i used this link to compare my stuck size in inches and what i have now The size i have now in inches is 32x10.83x20, i put ur metric measurements and that what came out for ur tire size, 33x11.22x17, so the high would be probably ok but you will rub a lot, my back tires are close to mud flaps but not touching it, but yours probably will.

Yes, with trimming, and you likely won't be able to fit a 285 spare in the stock location so you'll need to carry it in the back or somewhere else.

That's the dealbreaker for me on 285's.

I have a full size stuffed into my spare location, so yes a 285 will fit there. I have pictures to prove it.

X2 what others have said. I have done some trimming and never had issues with my BFG KO's, but these Duratracks I have rubbing when I reverse and turn (backing down into my driveway) or if there is a big dip into a parking lot and I turn into there. So for me, more dremmel trimming is needed but not mandatory at this point.
