Are Limited (1999) rear seats real leather?

I know its a silly question, but my 04 Mustang had "leather" seats. Funny thing was only the fronts were actual leather.

I'm looking to clean and lather up my seats but I dont want to waste the good stuff on the rears if they are "fake".

Great question. I know COB knows a lot about real leather. Lol. He would be best person to ask.

I know they aren't 100% true leather.. they are more of a hybrid leather. Take this for instance. When you get in your car whats the first thing you smell, not leather. When you get in a king ranch ford truck what's the first thing you smell, 100% true genuine cow hide! It's not necessarily fake, it's just not real real leather. I still use a leather cleaner on mine, but I don't go all out with a $100 kit of stuff.

Probably just the center section is leather, rest is Pleather.

So this whole thread stems from you wondering if the 4Runner leather is real because you do not want to waste "the good stuff", which I assume is leather conditioner that probably costs less than $10.
