Are limited models taller than the sr5s

I just bought a used sr5 and a budy has a limited and his sits taller than mine. Is that just a opticle illusion or are the limited models taller?

No.
Same year vehicles will sit at the same height (except some could have sagged more than others). Unless someone replaced the coils with fresh ones or taller ones.

Different years? Yes, there are different coils in different years.
Bigger/taller tires will add height too.

And measure from the center of the hub to the wheel well lip.

Maybe he has a '99 limited? Most '99 ltd's had "tall coils" which made them sit the tallest of all the 3rd gen sr5's and ltd's. Do some searching.
