Are the DDM Sabre 50W LED still king of high beams?

Thinking of upgrading my high beams, not worried about flicker as DRL are disabled. Is there anything out there that is better? I would prefer 5K.

And for all the folks that want to tell me how bad I am for putting these in because they are not approved, save your time lecturing, I have read it all, I need more light on high beam for my "old man" vision.

I just did the XenonDepot kit and I'm super happy with them. Can't compare directly to the DDM but I know if I were to buy again today I'd go XenonDepot. I know it matters not to you but their DRL driver is flawless.

I have Low and Fog lights from DDM, very happy with quality and light output 5k HID in low & 3k LED in Fog i am going to order DLR on Black Friday there is module for the DLR from them for flickering they are plug and play as far as i know hope this helps

Here is a comparison of the DDM Tuning Sabre 50w LEDs to stock in the high beam. (Stock on Left/Driver’s & DDM Tuning 50w Sabre on Right/Passenger) Given how people rave about them, I’m pretty unimpressed. They honestly don’t seem much brighter & I’m not sure the stock Halogen don’t seem to give an overall better dispersal.

The Kelvin is much better with the LED in my opinion but this can be adjusted with Halogen as well. I’ve run PIAA halogens for 16 years in my Pathfinder & 9 in our ‘06 JGC. They cost alot but last forever & are flawless.

As for “old man eyes”, it’s worth noting that “older” eyes may do better with more “yellow” light. My Mom is 74yo & definitely gets better contrast with the 3700-4100K range. I like 5-6000K at 48ya. An Ophthalmologist buddy of mine says that our visual perception is about what he would expect given aging. Ultimately, we don’t all really see the same thing & vision is subjective.

For what it’s worth, I put them in our family MDX & they appear brighter in that vehicle to my wife & Myself. I’m also probably going to put them in my 2002 Pathfinder once I install my JDM HIDs (the lows are HID, the highs 9005)
