Are there any negatives to installing a front leveling kit??????

I was thinking about installing a front leveling kit and was wondering if there are any negatives. I was thinking about the 5100's or blocks. Any advice or opinions would be great.

Raising the front or decreasing the positive rake (more negative) = Raises CG , reduces your front end grip, shifts the handling balance away from oversteer, increases aerodynamic drag and decreases downforce.

^^^^All true, but on such a miniscule level as to be non issues in real world driving.

Only real disadvantage is you will probably want a bigger lift later on.

I have the Toytec top spacers and they were cheap, easy to install, and level the truck out nicely. Go for it!

I have noticed that my headlights shine more forward and less down on the pavement in front of me with the leveling kit. On a really rainy dark night I was thinking it would have been better to have them face down a bit more to see the pavement directly in front of me. I'm not sure how much this annoys oncoming drivers, if any.

Also, now the high-beams go really high.

Other than that, on uneven parking lots it looks sort of like you have a reverse-rake sometimes.

Overall I like it though!

Four 5100s, with fronts set to .85 will level, reduce nose dive by 50%, and firm up the ride a bit. I'm pleased with the improvement.

Adjusting headlights is a 10 minute task.

Wow ignore my previous comments. Looks super easy to adjust the headlights. I was imagining it was necessary to disassemble the entire unit or something, haha.

Yeah I guess they only negative I found was the reverse rake look when on uneven terrane.

Do it properly. Don't know, but mismatching shocks makes no sense to me.
