Are these speakers/placement a factory option? (Pic Inside)

Is this a factory option for speakers in 1989? My 4runner actually has speakers in the dashboard locations, but they are not hooked up. These door speakers are hooked up, and there are matching ones in the rear as well, right next to the storage pockets by the back seat.

They are 5.25" speakers, and I was about to swap them out (the driver's side one got kicked in because the grilles are missing).

I was just curious if they were factory or aftermarket.

Pretty sure only factory location is in the dash. But it looks clean.

Yeah I've never seen em placed like that. looks good though. I'd add some type of screen though to clean it up more.

I picked an 88 runner with same speakers mounted like yours, has to be aftermarket. Funny to see another runner with exact same setup
