I have without a doubt that Toyota are aware of this board. I know of other manufacturers that peruse through forums as well, but not many have acknowledged their presence.
for example, Audi of America is on vwvortex (or some other one.. i forget) and regularly hold Q/A and chat sessions with the forum members.. they also have provided access to press releases, etc.
Also more likely are members that work on the dealership level.. ie., technicians or people in sales.. I've heard of SMART (the car) salespersons recommending forums to their potential customers.
