If that's the best yet, you've got a lot of room for more "bests". My best has been all of the suspension bushings, absolutely transformed the quality of ride.
 
I got a mini--antenna cable adapter, and a 'Y' junction, and hooked the rear window antenna up to my aftermarket headunit. Previously, that was disconnected and only the normal sized fender power antenna was hooked up. And then installed a switch to turn 'off' the front power antenna. And what I've found is that the rear window antenna works so well, that by the time I start losing reception on a station, flipping the switch and raising the power antenna barely makes any improvement. I don't think I've bothered raising it for a couple of years now.

I'm going this way myself. I want to put my GMRS antenna on the OEM Hole. I barely use the radio anyway, and my Handheld GMRS radios actually have a RADIO station function anyway.

Agree on the criminally expensive but it does look clean.
 
Its a great mod but am I the only one that likes the stock antenna. I am on my 3rd antenna and second motor but still like the stock operation.

Me, too. I still have the original power antenna. I've added a dash switch to cut the power during normal operation. I've found that the 'diversity antenna' in the passenger rear window does fine under most circumstances. When I do need the mast antenna for reception, I'm pretty fringe-y for that station. Then it's time for the aux input or bluetooth.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from you lol I plan on removing the entire antenna assembly completely even though mine is still in great condition and operational. I never listen to the radio.

I like the switch to idea.. I just turn my radio off but I can see if i put an aftermarket radio in. I can run that power antenna to a toggle. ;-) As I don't use the radio much at all just the speakers for my Bluetooth connection. :-)

I liked the stock antenna, being that you're on your third though lol.

I really had no choice, my power antenna wont' go/wouldn't go down on its own unless the vehicle was turned off with the aftermarket head unit.
 
Like I always say. It's your rig your choices. There is nothing wrong with changing your antenna if you want to..:) Lots of people do.. :D

Sarki, did you do anything with the power motor as it is? Mine still works, you can hear it trying to go up and down.
