I like going early. I'm trying to remember how long I was out there last time. I wanna say bout 4-5 hours going slow and having lunch out there. Wanna meet at about 9 10 at the latest?

Looks like ill be the only solo rider. I'm not sure how the 2wd will work. The route I take really isn't that bad but I'm always in 4lo so anything is easy
but I do have a 27000 snatch strap. It wouldn't hurt to have a shackle mount on the back. I just bought mine from 4wheel parts on speedway and sycamore. That and a locking receiver pin was 44.71 out the door. Not a bad investment. Also make sure you guys have that recovery hook up front.hmm I just blew a ton on the water pump / timing belt service so I really didn't want to have to spend another 45 quite yet haha 
I'll check if I have the front recovery hook, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the rear one by Sunday. Can't we just hook it to a random point on the frame? lol

I've got a strap so unless you've got something to slip it over it won't work. No worries a cheaper alternative is buy the hook version. Instead of a shackle its just a hook and its about 16.00 then a pin w/o a lock is about 8. 24 bucks sound better? And if we dont use it or even if we do, I'm sure you can still return it. Oh and you do have the hitch out back right? If not then its going to be way more expensive.

There are plenty of places to strap to in the back of a runner no worries. and you won't have to pull somebody backwards very often. Don't buy a strap with a hook if your really gonna wheel, buy a good strap and a d-ring. Worth the investment. Wish we could make it on Sunday. Have fun guys.

Hey guys I was looking over the details of the trail again. http://www.experience-az.com/adventures/4wd/Chivafalls/chivafalls.html and I'm not sure how well 2wd is gonna be out there. I do have a strap in case someone gets stuck but if I can't free you we may be in a pretty serious problem. I still want everyone to go but since I'm the only one who has been there I wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into.

I'm bummed we had to pull that strap out. I'm seriously considering an Aussie Locker now though.

Ha that's nothing I got home and looked under my runner. My front sway bar was bent so I took it off and in the rear both of my shocks had ripped out of the housing on top and were just sitting there. So right now I'm driving with no front or rear sway bar and no shocks in the back. I may have wheeled just a bit to hard yesterday...

Well I have no idea how it happened. There is no way to over extend them because they are pretty long. The top bushing and washer on both sides ripped off but the nut holding it on was still on the shock
I rigged it up to work until the new bushings come in on Wednesday. Other then that the truck is ready for another run! I like the feel of no sway bars I only have a little bit of body roll. Oh and I was just quoted for some mk2's! Hopefully I get em. Oh and here's a pic Sunday

No prob I was telling the guys I wanna get out atleast once a month. So we can plan a big run for sometime in march.
