With the heat being 110+, my groups wheeling trips have came to a halt until its a little more bearable out. So once it cools down a few degrees, or when the monsoons finally hit (MUD), we'll be setting up a couple of small runs. All are welcome. Mostly eastside runs. I will post possible dates and meeting spot here when the weather calms down a bit. Anyone interested?

Did a run through Florence junction last night in the rain, it was awesome. Ran up sandman Rd and saw a few others out there too. I live in San tan valley and have been wanting a 4runner for a while now and finally got one... anybody around here notice the nicer weather recently?? Its making me wanna go all the time and I'm looking for some new wheeling buddies. I'm going again in a few hours with a friend from Tempe.

I live in Vail, and have a stock '13 SR5. The wife isn't too hip to me doing much hard off roading in it. However if the places you suggest/go are stock friendly I would love to meet some fellow 4runners, share some stories and drink a few cold ones. PM me or something whenever you guys are out and about! I know the mountains of Patagonia and Huachuca very well.

If you want to do some trails let me know, I'm still "new" to this state only been here for 2.5 years. I am in Tucson and really want to explore, lifted with 285's but also don't mind just mild stuff. Let me know if your interested since you know the huachuca and patagonia area's, which I have been wanting to explore.

My bad. That's funny tho, guess it will be a busy place. I hadn't heard about it until I read that link. If you could post some pics or opinions of the trails I'd appreciate that. I watched the video on the tundra forum and it just seems like a back road as opposed to technical off roading. Is that a correct assumption?

Not too sure, it will be my first wheeling trip ever. Just bought the 4runner about a month ago. I will post some pics and opinions of the trail in my build thread when I get back. I think that it is a dirt road mostly, but there are some pretty technical spots with optional bypasses. Most of the trail ratings give it a 3 out of 5 technical rating. My jeep buddies really like it though so it can't be that bad.

This thread still alive? I've just decided to start getting into wheeling my runner. Anyone local have a stock 3rd gen fuel tank guard lying around?

It is now, and don't forget about me over here by you... have you checked any junkyards for the gas skid? I always see 4runner part outs and yard ads on Craigslist, but they seem to be all West valley. I joined azfj.org the other day, hope to be joining some east side runs soon with the guys over there, especially with all the good weather. I'll keep an eye out for a skid, hope you find one soon.
