Arizona in June

I will be in Phoenix in June and a group from work are going to hit some trails.

I am looking for some suggestions from the forum.

No dirt/ sand trails, I have had my fill of driving through desert sand. No real technical rock crawling either. I don't know what the groups true experience level is. Most drive jeeps but that doesn't mean they know how to engage the transfer case.

Places close to the Phoenix area would be good, like 4 Peaks, Superstition or even around Tucson. Honestly I have not spent much time in the Tucson area so that would probably be good.

It will be a day trip, I am not bringing any camping gear, not that you really need much gear for an over night trip.

Honestly, this book will be your best bet. It's not bad on amazon, and I am sure you can find it cheaper elsewhere. It sounds like you are trying to stay on the east side of Phoenix?

I thought about getting a book, I have several for Colorado.

I like to get user recommendations because the ratings in the books don't always match the 4Runners capabilities. There are some difficult trails that I wont think of trying but most of the difficult rated trails are more moderate in my opinion. Many of them I have been able to traverse in 4 wheel hi.

Users can share their experience and recommendations on how their vehicle does.
