How long do you expect it to hold? Any plans to have it reupholstered or swap seats in the future?

Thanks for the compliments - I gave it a shot and am done. I'm not planning on swapping seats or doing really anything else. I've had this truck 13 years now. Bought it new. I forgot to mention I sanded the patch as well before I painted it. I would've looked better if I got the left side to look as blended as right side of the patch but the left size had more foam missing. I superglued and gorilla glued this patch in so hopefully it holds up. Best I could do.

Super! They always rip there! I've had a few, always same area in drivers seat rips right there!! What color paint? YES, I know its tan, but exactly what type, gloss/ satin, exact color? ? You scuffed it too, w/abrasive like SOS, or a green scrub type? Gorilla glue, held by what? A tape till cured? PLease, LKM< I'll do one to add to this thread too if your cool w/that. :heh:THX!

Here's the paint. I was at Home Depot and gave it a shot and it matches pretty good luckily.
I cut the crumbled part of the seat with a box cutter, then cut a similar shape that was left out of the vinyl but a little larger w/ a scissors.
stuffed the bigger vinyl patch into the smaller hole of the leather seat and then put super glue around the top of the edges vinyl sheet I cut out / bottom inside part of the leather seat. used a plastic knife to spread it so i wouldn't get glue on my hands.
I added a few layers of viny cutting out a similiar shape gorilla gluing / supper gluing each patch on top of each other and then used sand paper (pretty rough grade) and then a lighter grade sand paper and sanded the vinyl patch and edges of the hole of the orginal seat.
then painted it and when it was drying sprayed it with ZIP kicker because I purchased a crappy seat repair kit off of ebay and had the zip kicker available. Not sure if the zip kicker really did anything but I had it - so I used it.
If it doesn't hold up so be it - I tried and the paint matches very well and the vinyl sheets from a rag shop are only a couple of dollars.
You can fix this thing like I did for under $15. It's not like having a new seat but it's not as noticeable as a giant seat tear.

X2...great job, looks awesome, If you flip like previous post suggested, It will be a Ninja fix... no one will ever see it.
