There is a demand within the 2nd gen community for a rear bumper with swing out tire carrier. I know, 2nd gens suck, but some of us have learned to live with them just fine. It comes up time and again.

If I am missing something and this is a product your company offers, post something up in the Classics section.

I wholeheartedly agree with Foot on this! There is a huge demand for second generation swing bumpers. I know personally, 3 guys that want one in my town alone, I can only imagine how many there are nationwide. Second generation 4runners seem to be the forgotten child when it comes to aftermarket parts in general, yet there are a lot of people that own and love their 2nd Gens, and would really like the ability to upgrade them alongside their 1st and 3rd gen brothers. Help us spend our money!

Here's another call out:
Both Front and Rear Plate Bumpers

Tube bumpers are great if you like that look (personally, I don't) however, there is a lack of 2nd Gen Plate bumpers out there, both front and rear.

So glad to hear 4XInnovations is working the rear swing out tire carrier, hoping it's on a plate bumper, as pictured above...
 
I'll jump in with the 2 Gen guys. Love mine!

Definitely need a tire swing out with mounts for fuel/water/supplies. Most of all - be able to mount along with the 4xI rear tube bumper (w/hitch).

The swing out tire carriers will be additions to the tube bumpers. It "should" be able to be added to an existing bumper, but will require welding and might require some cutting of the upper side wing on the passenger side.

I get wanting a plate bumper. Here's why no one is building them tough. Plate parts have a LOT more material cost than tube, have a LOT more weight than tube (about double a simple tube bumper), require totally different machinery to build (that is mindbogglingly expensive), and their is a LOT more time involved building each one over tube. All that means is they're also going to be much more expensive. Are you willing to spend at least $600 each?

I'd be willing to build them but we're going to have to get several firm orders before I can commit resources to it.

X2! Plate bumpers! Not a huge fan of tube bumpers. Except for 1st Gens!

Short answer, Yes, if I like the design.
Long answer, not in the next 3 months, since I just got this project and rebuilding the engine has come first. Looking great is cool but if it don't drive, it's pretty much pointless.

Also, I understand the market for these plate bumpers (2nd Gen specific) is extremely small and spending a bunch of money in R&D on such a small market is foolish.
