Audio guys, is the built in amp in my Pioneer DEH150MP better than the stock amp?

I'm contemplating if I should just plug the HU into the existing amp or bypass it and allow the head unit's built in amp to take over.

What do you think?

Going through the same thing while I wait for my new HU and Taco whip to arrive. From what I've read, the factory amp is useless once you ditch the old double DIN.

Factory amp is useless with any aftermarket headunit. The 150MP is entry level though, so don't expect miracles.

Remove the stock amp when installing an aftermarket stereo.

If you want more power than the aftermarket stereo, install an aftermarket amp inline
