Have a couple questions...seems like car audio is wayy more confusing than I'd though it would be so bare with me if I sound like an idiot! I tried doing some research and asked in the 3rd gen forum but still a little lost.
I currently have a 12WOv2 JL Audio 300w sub powered by a JL Audio monoblock G1300. Aftermarket Alpine deck installed as well. Stock speakers. Had this setup since the beginning of summer.
I think the speakers are starting to give out, 'cause everything just sounds crappy.
Obviously, I need some new speakers. I want to get the whole setup with the front and backs. My question is, what kind of amp setup do I need to power the new speakers and the sub? I'm looking to purchase a decent set from Infinity if that means anything.
Am I going to have to get rid of the mono block and purchase a 4-channel amp ? or do I leave the mono block there and add a 4 channel amp?
Or if this all sounds wrong, what do you all suggest I do to improve the sound quality? Thanks for any inputs.
oh, and if anyone can give a good ballpark price range of the new setup, that would help!
