Hey guys. Ill be picking up my 4runner in a week. Its getting a head gasket, timing belt, and the water pump done before I complete the purchase. When I get it I'm planning on installing my headunit and system from my previous car. Is there anything I need to look out for especially when installing the headunit? My neighbor is the toyota mechanic doing the above work and he mentioned something about possibly leaving the orange wire on aftermarket headunits disconnected. Is this true? And my other question is, on my last car I hooked my 4 gauge power wire for my amp directly to battery terminal that screwed into the battery. Where on the 4runner should I hook the power wire up to? I never got a real clear look at the fuse box. Is that an option for connecting it? And I am also transfering my 6.5 inch speakers over to the truck. Im going to modify the dash to accept the large speaker and Im running new speaker wire from the HU to moveable boxed rear speakers, so thats covered. Thanks for any advice/replies.
