Austin-area 5th Gens

Where you all at? I found 2-3 modded 5th gens on my drive on 1431 between lago vista and marble falls. You know who you are so let me know! We were 10 minutes from hidden falls. And one of you let your wife drive. (Not saying girls don't off road, but off roaders typically find other off road vehicles and this lady didn't even look for a second)

Maybe she just didn't like your rig?

That's where I'm at... Plenty of modded 5th gens around here... I was actually at HF on Saturday with a bunch of Jeeps though.

Then you need to off road with me ha. I was there on Sunday. That's when I noticed like 3 modded 5th gens just on that short road. And I noticed the same last weekend too.

I heard groups head out there on the weekend. Not on the Facebook group tho been wanting to try it out. There are lots of TRD Pros in Austin you notice?

Yeah most of the 5th gens I see are trails and such. You guys need to head out to hidden falls for the fj fallout (any 4x4 is welcome, but 4x4 is REQUIRED). I think like 60 or so people showed up last year. Check the vid to see if it's your style and let's hit up some trails!

Don't let the name fool you, though. Anyone is welcome.

Man it looks awesome. Not really modded out like some of these rigs tho! They prob have appropriate trails for stock 4R's

They do. They have runs for stock to built. Keep in mind I did a lot of that in a stock xterra so you can do most of that stuff.

I've seen a couple of lifted 4Runners around here in Dallas, but Dallas is pretentious so...

Agreed... Always tough to tell around these here parts. Self-proclaimed street queen here... but not because of lack of want, just lack of time.

Occasionally, I see a very seriously built-up T4R. But most are PROs and/or ones with some sort of dealer package for extras, etc. :fear:

I'm involved with the club that puts this on.

Here is the video from last year.

There was a bunch of 5th gens last year, but none got captured in the video.

My original plan this year was to be the trail lead for the extreme group in my solid axle truck... I may end up bringing the 5th gen (depending on where things stand)... Got several changes going on with both trucks.

Yea, I'm one of the admins on the FB page and pretty active in it. Don't think we have met yet, but I'm sure we will. It's a good diverse group.

Yes it's a great group. The well-being of a rig is high priority
