Auto Climate Control Question

so i have a semi simple question. i want to know if i can change where the air comes out of when i press the "auto" on the HVAC and keep it on auto.

right now when i press auto is comes out on the floor and controls the fan speed and temp just as i want. but i want to change where the air comes from the floor to the front vents. when i do change it manually it turns off auto. is there a set up i can do to change the setting?

I think that is the design of it. The climate control automatically adjust which vents open and close.

Winter time - heat is on - lower vent open
Summer time - AC is on - Upper vent open

If you want it to blow on center vents. Set your temp. Hit the Mode button till the arrow is where you want the air to blow. Adjust the fan speed to what you want and the Climate control will still adjust temp automatically.
