What year? On my '98 Limited it doesn't automatically go up either.

My '97 only has auto down on the driver side. Everything else has to be held, up or down. I think auto-up wasn't put on for safety issues, in case someone got an arm stuck in there as it was going up on its own.

However, my other car does have auto-up on both driver and passenger, but has a pressure sensing system, so it stops if something gets in the way of it going up.

My 2000 has auto up on the passenger side.

Does the passenger switch on your 99 have AUTO written on it, or just the drivers?

It has auto up. It works fine from the driver side (Meaning I can put the passenger and driverside up with the "auto up" function) On the passenger side it will go auto down and at one point it did go auto up but recently it stopped working going up.

I had that same issue. Mine was more intermittent though and after taking apart the switch for something unrelated, the problem went away. Maybe it was a loose connection that was reestablished after I disassembled mine. Can you still put the window up using the passenger switch but not engaging the auto up?

Its goes up just not with the auto function

That's exactly what mine was doing. Unfortunately I can't tell you what is actually needed to fix it because I just got lucky. Maybe just moving the pieces around in the switch and ensuring all the wires on the plug are in tightly. . . Sorry I can't help
