Yep I use Excel because you can customize the layout! On the first Sheet are the maintenance specifications, so the columns are set up/labeled for part numbers, brand, price, quantity, torque valves, and comments. Sometimes I list what metric socket is needed for the job. Like the 12mm bolts to remove the skid plate for access to the oil filter and the 14mm socket to remove the oil drain plug.
Then on the second Sheet I log the actual work performed, date, mileage.
I have four vehicles so my Workbook has several Sheets.
