I live over seas and am currently driving a 97 4WD with the 2.7 4 cyl and an A340 auto trans. This is a remarkable truck and has handled everything here in Zambia. The question is about the auto trans that was mated to the 3.4 6 cyl in 98. Is it the same transmission? I'm currently chasing a couple of 3rd gen trucks in the Northeast US in anticipation of my return to the US next year.
