auto tranny

hey guys quick question i had already posted something about it but nobody answered this part
i live in south america i own a 1996 4runner 3.4l v6 and my tranny doesnt have an temp sensor the wiring is there but no sensor on the transmission the tranny has been changed by the previous owner so does anybody know what tranny i have?

The tranny name/code thing? 3rd gen automatics have the A340F transmission. I believe its the 1996-1998 trannys that has no ATF temp sensor and 99-02 have the sensor. Hope this helps.

My 97 has a dummy light for "A/T fluid temp" so it must have a sensor.

well i have a 96 and getting an ecu code atf temp sensor circuit malfunction
the wiring is also there
