Automatic Picture Resize Issue

The thread is in response to the automatic picture resizing recently going on in the forum. Picture attachments are now larger than pictures linked through image sharing sites.

I have a nice monitor with lots of pixels, and now most of the pictures on the forum are only 6" wide and blurry, and I'd rather not click the resize banner for each picture.

Anyone else see this as problematic or is it just me? I know it solves the problem of huge pictures but still... what is this the early 2000's?

We'll change back to the waay over-sized pictures people have been complaining about for years.
We wouldn't want to inconvenience you by making you "click the resize banner".

You have any clue how many of us DON'T use a huge monitor? Click the damn banner.

So, to whoever implemented the "auto resize" function; thanks ... that fixed a real PITA for most of us.

Okay I guess I can get used to looking at blurry pictures.

It would be better if the resize banner shrunk the pictures instead of enlarging them. That way the few pictures that are huge could be shrunk down.

Instead of complaining maybe they should use the ctrl+ scrollwheel trick or stick to safer parts of the forum (build threads) where people actually know how to post pics.

Under 'user control panel' then 'edit options' I figured out how to go back to the way it was.

Bunch of cool settings in there.
