automatic tranny dipstick question

hey folks,

recently swapped out my radiator (I plan to do a thread on it when I find time) and lost some tranny fluid in the process.

Ran the engine for a few minutes, saw that the line was below HOT. Added some in, checked again and was above HOT and near/a little beyond the Dextron II sign on the Dipstick. Is the level OK to be there? I've read on the forum that filling up to the 2nd arrow on the HOT sign is 'full'.

thanks ahead

You want it to be between the upper and lower marks on the HOT part, obviously once the tranny is warmed up. If it's very much past the top of the HOT then it's overfilled and you'll want to drain a little bit.
