Okay, Is there a secret dance or a special song that I have to sing to get this dipstick back in the hole??? And please don't be like my dad and tell me to put hair around it. Advice??

As a 4runner automatic transmission dipstick expert (I have removed mine a whole two times), I can tell you I have never had mine go in easy. I also think mine is a little bent from someone who used it in the past.

Seems like there is a specific direction that it goes in a little farther than the other, and after that you have to push it in with a little force, holding a couple inches above the dipstick tube at a time. Not enough force that you're bending it though.

It would be nice to know if this is the wrong way, but I haven't found any better way to do it.

Putting hair on it helps too.

I believe last time I did it I pushed it in with some force an while pushing you turn it slightly. Just my .02.

And Lolz at the dinner and movie.

When you look at it, try to see how it's bent. then try to get it to follow the bends as you put it in. Like Slow_4R said, turn it just a bit. It's tricky but you can eventually get the hang of it. A few weeks ago when I was getting my oil changed at a Valvoline type place, they pulled it out and couldnt get it back in. I got sick of watching them attempt it, so I got out and put it back myself!
