Aux button/armrest input not working

Frustratingly, the input for my aux, which is located in the centre armrest, is no longer working. In fact, if I push the aux button on the radio control panel, nothing happens. As far as I'm aware the input in the compartment under the armrest is the only one one my 07, so I'm out of luck with listening to music off my iPhone and iPad. Is there a simple way to fix this?

It's not the cord and not the device I'm using. I've tried others which work in other stereo systems.

since its the holiday, should be a holiday sale after, treat yourself to a new radio that has bluetooth and usb, so u dont need to mess around with the wires no more.
