i have Hella FF50's ready to be wired to be used for backing up. problem is i dont know which wire to tap for the reverse light. i wanted to use the one on the trailer plug. please let me know which to tap. Thanks

2003 4RUNNER WIRES:
(Ground) = thick white wire w/ black stripe
(right turn/stop) = Brown
(left turn/stop) = Red
(tail lights) = green w/ black stripe
If there is another wire under there, maybe that's the backup light wire? Come to think of it, do trailers have back up lights?

i know on the plug, the center is for back up lights. i tested and confirmed. but theres no way i could attach to it. Thanks Karl

The best suggestion I have is to run the wires from the aux. lights back into the cargo area of the truck (there is a rubber grommet that you can puncture and run the wire up into the truck), then connect it to the reverse light wire close to the factory light. If we ever have a wrench a thon I can show you how to do it.

well i got it done. i took off the protector from the back of the trailer jack and tapped the Yellow wire, per the wiring diagram for the 06 runner. i joined tundra solutions and i have acces to everything for my truck. the lights look great.
and karl, if there is a wrench a thon, ill prolly have a spacer lift to put in or something along those lines.

its the D-Ring shackle i believe. im not sure because i got it from an Off-road shop during a blizzard and i need it to tow people out of ditches as a favor for my friend. sso i just got it and ran out the door.
