Hey Y'all. I didn't see any other threads about this, so I figured that I would post about it. I know there's plenty of AVIC D3 owners out here and I thought they would be interested in this. I knew that you could change the backgrounds on the unit, but I wasn't a big fan of the stock ones. So I did a little investigating and I found out that you can upload your own pictures to it by burning some images onto a CD in a folder called Pictures. There's more detail on it on the avic411.com website. You can do this for all of the AVIC units except the instructions for doing it are different for the different models.
If you decide to make your own background images for the D3, they need to be 500x240 pixels at 72 dpi resolution. When burning images onto the CD make sure the image names contain only numbers and letters, no spaces! otherwise you will get a read error.
