AVN-5435 and AUX port in center console

Greetings. I've got a 2006 SR5 with the Eclipse AVN-5435 Nav system installed and I am wanting to integrate my iPod. I've looked at the IPC-106 adapter and may go that way. However, there is a small port inside the center console that looks like a headphone jack and it is labeled "AUX". Can I use this an just connect my iPod with a male-male headphone adapter? If so, what mode should the AVN-5435 be in to receive this input?

Hey

I need to know a little more. There is a aux port on the back of your eclipse. This means that when it was installed someone had to wire it with an adapter ( either eclipse brand or aftermarket )into your factory harness to use the headphone type jack in the center console.

If this was done properly then you need to chk your manual because on eclipse units you sometimes have to turn on the aux. On mine I have to press the funct. and text buttons in a sequence to turn on the aux. If the radio looses pwr you have to do it again.

When you go through the sources aux should appear or its not on!
