Awning (No RTT) - Pax or Drivers Side? Thoughts...

As the title says, I have an ARB awning with a room and am trying to find out the pro's and cons of installing on the passenger side or the drivers side. I've seen it installed both ways.

So for those with an awning I would love to read your pros and cons before I install. (I know it's easy enough to swap around...) Thx!

It's on the same side as the trailer to stay consistent.

I went driver side mostly because I went with the 2500 and wanted to make space, visually if not physically, for the ARB Snorkel -- assuming my awning hasn't worn out before the snorkel comes out.

Yea that's a great reason for me. I have the 2500 as well and am considering a snorkel more so for the air filtering than the water crossings. Thanks for the input!! Have a beer on me this weekend. :cheers:

Another thing to consider is on the passenger side it would be on the non traffic side of the truck, assuming you pull off the road like you are supposed to and don't park against traffic.

Mine is on the driver's side because my bumper opens on the passenger side. So, if it's open and I need a beer, I need to walk ~5' extra to get to it.

Hey guys, thanks for all of your inputs.

I went with an ARB 2500 x 2500 mounted on the drivers side using ARB OS850 brackets on my Whitson rack.
