I've been fighting a leaking driver side CV axle for a while. I got under there and grabbed the diff side of the axle and has quite a bit of play in and out (normal?) but also up down. I thought it was going to be the needle bearing so I ordered the ECGS bushing and went to swap it today. Turns out I already had a bushing, probably from when I had the front re-geared and ARB locker installed. Here is a video after popping out the axle. - YouTube The whole piece the bushing is pressed into is moving. What is going on here?
