OK, not that experienced, but going to dive in.
95, 22RE, manual, ADD. I picked up a rear end from a V6 Auto, (4.88 gears) along with the matching front diff. I Also got some AISIN Manual hubs, and what to eliminate the ADD.
I want to do things in sequence, so that if something stumps me, I know what I touched last so I can address it.
1- Can I install the front Diff alone, after eliminating the ADD system? Will it be a straight in swap and will having 4.11 gears in the back and 4.88 in the front be a problem as long as I keep it in 2WD?
2- Can I install the Manual Hubs in the front at any time as long as I keep it in 2WD until all the conversion is completed. By any time, I mean even before the front diff gets swapped in?
3- will the rear end drum to drum, be a straight in swap, with all the mounting hardware in the same place?
Anyone who has done this and want to share tips and so, feel free to comment..
Thanks
