Az to Ga and Back 3666 miles 0 Problems

Just completed a Road Trip. Man what a Beautiful Drive. Southern States so Amazing this time of year. Best Thanksgiving in Years. Took 2 different routes. Avoided Storms in TX by waiting a Day to head out. I 17 to I 40 East then Memphis TN to Birmingham AL up to Powder Springs Ga. Came back I 20 West to I 10 West. Made it from Ga to Tuscaloosa AL stopped to see my Brother for a few Hours, then on to Pecos TX before Exhaustion took Over and said get Off the Road. Never thought I would get out of Texas. 4runner Handled great. So glad we bought the V8. Some areas of Freeway it Felt Glass Smooth. Best vehicle I have owned period. :lookout:

Haha small world. I grew up in Powder springs. Where does your family live? I lived off of macland rd. most of my dad's side of the family still lives in "ptown"

I wouldn't hesitate to drive our 4runner across country tomorrow.

My Mom is off Hopkins Rd. My Aunt is off Ewing and Angelette Dr. They own Dixie Precast Inc. in Austell. Small World Indeed. That is cool. Spent Thanksgiving with this Bad Baby

As a Kid like 12 or 13 I used to visit my Great Grandma in Sylacauga AL every Summer. I lived outside of Chicago then. Southern Hospitality was Amazing and Still Is....Love it down there.

Yep. I know those roads well. Wow that's really crazy about the precast concrete company. my great grandfather owned a readymix concrete company in powder springs and my grandfather worked for the railroad. Are we related somehow lol?

Not to mention, that side of the family is originally from AL...

Maybe Holy Crap...the Railroads are there Bread and Butter. They make all the Concrete that the Lights and and everything Use as A Base. The Road was Named after there Last Name. Wow.

Just curious, but which ready mix company did he own? I live just north of Atlanta on I-75 and am in the tilt-up concrete business.

I can't remember the exact name. He sold it before I was born and passed away when I was really young. I believe it was Isley concrete or something like that. My 2nd cousin Wade is still in the concrete business in metro Atlanta and had been for many years.
