Back Hatch & Window...

Bought my first 4runner, 92 3.0 V6, love it! But having serious problems with the back hatch and window. They both dont work.
The hatch stays locked whether i use the key from the out side or the handle on the inside, or both. I've taken the interior panel off and pulled the lock mechanisms, all seems to be functioning when I pull them. Its just not unlatching.
Rear window does not go up or down, can hear a bit of click/knock when i press @ the center console switch. But thats it, no movement.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me, Thanks!

The window must be all the way down for the tailgate to swing down.

The key hole on the gate is for opening/closing the window.

This is correct..
But the window may be off the track.. try putting key in there and holding it for a second.. but sounds like it may be stuck you can access the guts from the inside of the truck.... should be like 8-10 screws holding it in I believe.. i have taken it off before to knock a dent out on the outside from the inside..

Thanks to both! I'm gonna open it up again and see if the windows off track, I feel like its something to do with the relays though. I read through a few posts about back window issues spawning from bad relays.?

Any other suggestions??
