Back Hatch won't open.

I've looked and I've looked, but I can't seem to find the owners manual. How does one normalize the locks and the windows? I've also looked around the forum and the one page that describes the operation is down. Any help is gladly appreciated.

What does the handle do when you pull it? If it moves freely then you probably have something loose inside the panel.

Can you roll down the back window?

The back handle is very loose when I squeeze it. As if nothing is making contact. The window does roll down.

Have you tried opening it with the key?

Also try pulling on the handle while applying force in all different directions on the hatch itself. Make sure nothing is pushing on the hatch from the inside.

It's possible to remove the hatch panel with the liftgate closed but it's not the easiest of things, although I haven't ever done it. I think a few members on here have, they may chime in.

Also don't hold me to this, but I swear I remember seeing a thread that said you could roll down the rear window and look inside the hatch where the window is. And you should see a wire (possibly silver?) running across that you can pull on with say like a coat hangar or something and it should pop the hatch loose. Don't hold me to that though, because I can't find that particular thread now.

I was in the back a few months ago, I will remove the panel and take a look around it. Thanks for the replies, and help, and questions with computers shoot them my way.

You can pull the panel off with the hatch closed, it's just a royal pita to do. Start at a lower corner and work around, then slide the whole panel up and it will come loose from the window sill. I had to use a pry bar to get it started. Pull the larger sheet metal panel and on the drivers side there is a metal cable that controls the door latch. Just pull it and the door should release
