back in action..but

Ok so its been awhile since I been on, but I got my car fixed up

After:

This sunday I had my mechanic change the fuel filter and valve cover gaskets and while the TB was off I decided to clean it. I cleaned it upright allowing all the fluid to go through the holes.

I also sprayed some TB cleaner in this pipe

So he puts everything back in place and started it and kinda didnt want to stay on but that smoothed out and it idled no problem

I had to dive back to San Marcos so Im leaving and start driving then it starts wanting to shut off like its out of gas and it did. so i rolled into a parking lot and where the intake goes into the maf looked looked so I tightened that and it worked.

On the drive the car did not turn off but it started to act funny then it was normal.

Now on monday it shut off when I was driving and I havent got it to start since then
I took off my intake and this is what I saw

hmmm. if i remember right, mine did the same thing after i had sprayed some TB cleaner in there. I think it starting working fine over time but i have no idea what that little piece is in there.

As for the paint splattered on your truck... try some acetone, a long time ago i worked for the DOT. People would come in all the time that had ran over freshly painted lines and it would get all over the place. This stuff seemed to work pretty good though.

FINALLY SOMEONE ELS HAS HADE ISSUES AFTER CLEANING THE TB! it cused me major issues, to where i just went to a junk yard and got a used tb.

Thats my only advice. Sorry to hear your having troubles

yea I've cleaned it before and had no problems. I talked to my mechanic and He says I messed up the valve:sniper:

Can I just clean it? my guy says it will be another 150-200 and i just spent 300 to do all this:fro:

on the picture with the question mark..is that where some gunk couldve clogged the valve?

any help is appreciated!

Ill give it a bump to the top, hopefully one of these guys can chime in.

Its been so long since ive cleaned mine all i know is it was the last time i would ever do it haha. For a while it was acting all crazy as far as throttle responce but i thought it was because of the TB "O" gasket mod i did, but yeah i think it just eventally went away, sorry man hope you get some answers soon.

where did you get that aftermarket bumper after your crash?
