Back in the 4Runner family

About 3 weeks ago we picked up a '09 4Runner Sport for my wife, to replace her '05 Pathfinder which had to go due to a serious mechanical issue. After she drove the 4Runner for about a week she decided that it was not quite big enough (she likes driving large SUV's). So we got her a Sequoia last weekend and I'll be driving the 4Runner now! I had a '97 SR5 about 4 years ago which I reluctantly sold when it had about 215k on it because I figured it was a good time to sell as it still had value (I sold it for 7k at the time). I've regretted selling it though so it's good to be back in the 4Runner family. I look forward to taking advantage of the knowledge on the forum and trying not to spend TOO much $$ modding my new truck!

Please tell me that you learned your lesson after the first time lol. Great looking truck! you definitely came back with an awesome vehicle! My dad is currently ranting how no vehicle could compare to the 06 runner he had. He sold his after getting a good deal as well.

Wish mine was that color, but I got a great deal on the one I have and it's dark blue. My wife and I both really like it. I had an 88 4Runner years ago. It was a good vehicle, but no comparison to the 4th Gens.

My dad sold his 05 in Galactic Gray with 100k on it and has been kicking himself ever since, which is why I'm never selling my truck. I couldn't stand to part with this thing!

Thanks everyone for the congrats and kind words - there's something about these trucks, I don't know what it is. But it gets in you and sticks.

I really look forward to enjoying this one as much as I enjoyed my '97. Minor modding has already begun, the front windows are being tinted today. I'm an avid mt biker so this weekend I have to get the Yakima rack setup on it and I need to get the ipod aux wire hooked as well. After that I'll sit tight for awhile.

On an '09 you should have an AUX input in the center console.

If so I can't find it - the radio is very basic, probably the base one for this model. It has an Aux/Input button though so I assume I can run an ipod cable from the back of the head unit

My '07 came with the Toyota iPod aux jack in the glove box, complimens of the previous owner and it has a standard AUX jack in the center console box. Look for it, it should be there!

Yeah I have the plain non-JBL stock radio in my 07 SE. It's in the center console. There should be a small fold down door towards on the bottom of the front side of the box.
