Back window regulator installation

Just got the parts I need to install the back (tailgate) window regulator and motor. Is this straightforward or are there any "gotchas" I need to look out for? I have the glass already, and ordered the channels, fillers and the regulator/motor assembly. I still have to find some bolts to mount the regulator (anybody know what size I need?) but other than that I'm hoping to get the window working (pain in the rear without it working).

Thanks for any help. I'll be asking about my speedometer cable replacement next.

i dont have any tips for you but you should definitely post some pictures as you go i dont think think there are any wirteups on tailgate rebuilds.

all my wires were torn out when i got my tr4 so i rednecked it. the rear window is now controled by 2 toggle switches that are mounted right under my radio, ill see what i can do for pics.

Photos? And an explanation of how your did it.

I just got an '86 4Runner and same thing, wires are torn out. The guy has wires running straight to the battery that I have to open the hood and touch to the terminals to get the window up or down.

There's no special tricks, bolts will be either M6-1.0 or M8-1.25.
