Backup camera install, what am I missing here?

I purchased a license plate camera kit off eBay, an adapter for the stock navigation system (my truck didn't come with one originally), and followed one of the write ups here on the forum. Unfortunately he didn't do into detail about the hookup from the head unit. So this is what I have in the back of the head unit. I connected everything else as the same way as the write up explains but want to see if anyone can identify if I am missing a connection from the head unit anywhere. Do the stock wiring harnesses have a reverse sensing cable that runs from the computer to the back of the head unit? I connected the video cable coming from the camera to the reverse sensing wire at the driver side kick panel but still get no signal to the head unit when in reverse. Any ideas? Am I missing the R9 connector that should be here if I had factory navigation? Or are all of these cars wired with these connectors? If so would it be tucked somewhere and I just need to dig it out? Thanks for your help

Don't think the R9 is there, as the backup camera didn't show up until 06 from my understanding. I think you need a reverse signal wire into the HU to tell it to display the camera on the screen. At least that is what I am planning on doing mine when I get around to install my backup camera.

Please post what you find out, as I would be interested in learning the issue.

So I ended up splicing a wire from the reverse sensing wire near the driver's kick panel which is a thick red wire with yellow stripe and connecting it to the 5 slot on the R9 connector on the back of the head unit using a generic wire connector. It's not exactly factory but it works! I'll post some more info later for you.
