Installed camera and monitor a while back and just havent gotten around to sharing..eventually want to use the factory rearview mirror monitor if I can get my hands on one for a decent price but this will do for now

The camera i bought off ebay some china man crap but for 3 bucks it works great..couldnt find another keyhole camera so opted for this one..liked the clean look rather than one hanging from the rear plastic panel

If you want to use the factory camera (they are sort of expensive and hard to come by if you want any original 4Runner camera), remember that it is powered only by 5V, not the universal 12V everyone else uses.

OEM Toyota camera: normally powered by 5V (or 6V, whatever, can't remember exact figure), are basically the same thing EXCEPT for the mounting bracket they are attached (or molded) to.

I personally had thought about mounting a rear view camera into the spoiler so you get a more Top Down view of everything.

I do like the screen in the rearview mirror we do on the newer Toyotas, the small screen almost doesn't bother me.

I was thinking to do the same thing. ^^ I wanted a better view of the tow hitch for hooking up a trailer.

I like the spoiler idea as well but after spending hours running wires through rear gate Id hate to try the spoiler
