Just an update for you guys, first off when dealing with a dealer it was really bad advice to give someone to call a lawyer,i think i got alot farther with just being nice and understanding so you guys should all think about that!!!!well it ended up being a steering wheel postion sensor, with that installed the truck now drives great will pick it up at the dealer monday, thanks for all the great advice...????? shuly

well speaking just for myself, I was not to concerned about your little arrogant whiny reports, however I was concerned about people on the road who you put in danger by not dealing with it as the safety issue it clearly is.

That said, you asked the forum who are a group of people who I happen to like for opinions and you got them To turn around and smack the members for giving you that advice (some of which was more than appropriate) and based upon a grave level of concern is simply chickensht. That said, I am glad that you were able to catch more flies with honey than vinegar. You might try that same tactic here on the members area unless you think that cyberspace is somewhat less deserving of your skills. It takes quite a bit to tick me off but you have.

Try buying a vehicle next time that fits your personality. Maybe something strong like a LOTUS> lots of trouble usually serious.

Regardless of the banter about how to deal with the dealer, Toyota etc. thank-you for updating us with regard to the steering wheel position sensor. Hopefully nobody else will deal with the problem you had but maybe your reply will help somebody else should a similar problem arise.

I am very surprised that the bad signal didn

Ok guys, new to the forum. So new I can't even start a new thread ... But I'm looking for help on an ABS system on a 2003 Limited with 4.7. Is the ABS light, VSC, and TRAC lights supposed to come on when you initially turn on ignition switch?

That's the thing, it all started the first weekend I had the truck and went wheeling with a buddy that owns a GX470. He showed me how the ATRAC worked on his GX so i tried it in my 4 Runner but i couldn't ever get the brakes to grab on the free spinning wheels. I tried 4 Hi, 4 Lo, diff locked etc. So weeks of research have led me to cheking the ABS and other components. I've called 4 dealerships, 3 in Birmingham and one in La Grange, and all the techs say all the lights are supposed to cycle when ignition is turned on. It's like my ABS isn't getting power. Even when I unplug the connector on the brake controller that causes traction, VSC and ABS lights to come on, nothing happens

Since your lights don't come ON I would start a new thread when you are able.
