So 2x now my vehicle has died on me with the fuel level needle above E, and no "Low Fuel" light illuminated. Gas it up, and we're good to go. So I suspect I've got a bad fuel level sending unit, and I'd like to change it out, however I just need some confirmation that it is a part of the whole pump unit in the tank. Can anyone assist? Is this a must drop the tank, or can you go through that access plate? Also it appears Rock Auto only sells the pump itself, anyone know where to pick up the level sensor other than a dealership?
