What should my fuel pressure be holding at? And where is the connector for my fuel gauge on the 4runner?

Fuel pressure should be between 38-44 psi.
The sender for the gauge is mounted on the pump in the tank.
Or are you looking for the fitting to put your fuel pressure gauge to??
You have to take the bolt out of the feed line and hook your gauge up that way.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE
Check the battery positive voltage is above 12 V .
Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
Remove the 6 bolts, and disconnect the No.2 timing belt cover.
Remove the union bolt holding the fuel pipe to the delivery pipe and gasket. CAUTION:
Put a shop towel under the delivery pipe.
Slowly loosen the union bolt.
Install SST (pressure gauge) to the delivery pipe with the 2 gaskets and SST (union and union bolt). SST 09268-45014 Torque: 34.3 N.m (350 kgf.cm, 25 ft.lbf)
Wipe off any splattered gasoline.
Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
Turn the ignition switch ON .
Measure the fuel pressure. Fuel pressure: 265 - 304 kPa (2.7 - 3.1 kgf/sq.cm, 38 - 44 psi) If pressure is high, replace the fuel pressure regulator. If pressure is low, check the fuel hoses, fuel hose connections, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and VSV for the fuel pressure control.
Reinstall the No.2 timing belt cover with the 6 bolts. Torque: 9 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf)
Start the engine. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the fuel pressure regulator, and plug the hose end.
Measure the fuel pressure at idle. Fuel pressure: 265 - 304 kPa (2.7 - 3.1 kgf/sq.cm, 38 - 44 psi)
Reconnect the vacuum sensing hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
Measure the fuel pressure at idle. Fuel pressure: 226 - 265 kPa (2.3 - 2.7 kgf/sq.cm, 33 - 38 psi) If pressure is not as specified, check the vacuum sensing hose and fuel pressure regulator.
Stop the engine.
Check that the fuel pressure remains as specified for 5 minutes after the engine has stopped. Fuel pressure: 147 kPa (1.5 kgf/sq.cm, 21 psi) or more If pressure is not as specified, check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and/or injectors.
After checking fuel pressure, disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery and carefully remove the SST to prevent gasoline from splashing. SST 09268-45012
Remove the other union bolt, 3 gaskets and fuel pipe from the delivery pipes.
Reinstall the fuel pipe with 4 new gaskets and the 2 union bolts. Torque: 34.3 N.m (350 kgf.cm , 25 ft.lbf)
Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
Check for fuel leaks.

Ummm, wow. Here I was thinking I was just going to do this in just a couple simple tests. ok, more work than previously thought.

wow wow wow its much easier then that, to tell if its working or not, put the key in the ign. turn it to "ON" but dont start it you should hear it turn on for a few secconds like 1 or 2, its a buzzing sound by the tank.
thats easier, if it is buzzing that means its working, kinda of...

I know its working to a point. I'm not sure if its losing pressure. I'm getting long crank time. Started out just in the morning when engine was cold but has progressively gotten worse within a couple weeks. Now its even when engine is hot. I changed guel filter, spark plugs, wires, cleaned MAF, cleaned throttle body just because that all needed to be done anyway. It seems to have gotten better but still doesn't seem quite right. I don't have a CEL and the only other thing to check is to see if my fuel pressure is where it should be.
If someone can think of something else I could do to diagnose the problem with a long crank time let me know. It is not the starter or battery as far as I know....it sounds really strong trying to spin over. Not sluggish at all. Just doesn't fire up as quick as it used to.
