Bad Luck on Friday 13th

Coming home yesterday around a blind curve and there was a huge box in the road, so swerved to miss it and grazed the guard rail. I am so mad. Then that night I forgot to put my ducks in their night pen and one disappeared, which was probably a foxes dinner. Then this morning I go to work and my Klein tools are missing. I don't think I want to get out of bed tomorrow. I took some pics of the damage, my truck is dirty from the dirt road I live on. I have to take it up to David Maus Toyota to get fixed. What a crappy two days.

At least it looks like all the damage was on the plastic parts. I know it still sucks though.

Yikes man, the whole damn length!!!!

But like said, at least it was all plastic cladding that took the beating, easy fix, not like bondo and metal work.

Did you know that when you buy the molding it is already painted. I had to replace one of my moldings and was surprised to find they come painted. It would be cheaper to replace the moulding then pay for paint/labor to refinish the damaged molding. The only paint work required would be for the front and rear bumpers

my friend was towing his boat and a bunch of food and clothes, supplies for camping, etc etc for his trip with his family. His truck ended up starting on fire, and burned to the ground. I had to run out there with my 4runner and save his boat and all his stuff, and so his weekend wasn't ruined my dad gave him his 2006 Tacoma Double Cab with a 6" lift, 35" tires and borla exhaust.

pretty sure he had a grin all the way there despite what happened. he says hes definately getting a toyota this time

Yeah thats the nice thing about the Toyota parts, you can get them ready to go on with no paint work.

My brother in law's 04 Chrysler 300M Special, had a torn up front fascia. I thought it'd cost maybe $250 or so from the stealership. Nope. They quoted me $800 for the fascia, UNPAINTED!!! All the stupid thing was is a plastic bumper cover basically, nothing special about it at all. I was appalled!! We ended up just taking a drill and filling it full of holes, and zip-tied it back together and he sold the car shortly after lol.

YIKES! that is bad. I also read Falls had some health problems, so I guess I was "lucky" in a way. It could have been alot worst. The damage was mostly on the plastic only one little spot on the passanger side door the metel under the the cladding is slightly dented and the front rim is scruffed on the edge.
I had my F-150 catch on fire (big surprise on a Ford), but luckly we were able to get it out with only damage to the alternators wires. I now always carry a fire extinguisher in my vehicle even in the Toyota.

Wow.. at first i thought it was just the bumper so i'm like..ehh nothing serious just a small scratch.. but i scrolled down GOOD lord! that's some damage...

Thank you that is good to know. My husband made an insurance claim, which kinda surprised me, he usually tries to avoid making claims since they just seem to raise your rates and you end up spending three times as much in the end. Insurance to me is just for major accidents.
