Anybody have any issues with a bad USB plug? Mine worked fine for ages now it doesnt acknowledge theres a USB plugged in..even though the USB lights up and gets power.

Did you have the airbag recall done? The USB leads to a multi media ECU behind passengers dash brown plug for 2013 and below, 2014 and up its a gray plug behind radio

Mine quit working until I reset the head unit, then it miraculously started working again along with bluetooth connectivity that kept crapping out. There are instructions on how to do it that I found on here. Not hard, just pulling a fuse and waiting.

Not sure if this will make you happy, cry, or irate. But if it's the USB/Aux squared jack, you can just buy the end terminal. It is part number 8619053040 .
What will make you cry or irate is that it cost $150 bucks (~$120 on ebay).

I thought I broke mine the other day. Was charging an external battery pack with a really short cable, knocked it over and it yanked the usb out pretty hard. Wouldn’t charge or recognize devices after that.

Tested it todya and it’s workiing again. No idea.

I play music off a thumb drive, and have found that every once in a while, when I start up, the head unit fails to recognize that there is a drive plugged into the USB plug. Shutting off the engine and restarting always fixes it, so far.

Yes oddly it was just after that, that the USB stick went bad. Ill try a few other sticks if not..back to the dealer.
