Bad vibration after a hard stop.

Driving to work yesterday hit the brakes hard for a sudden traffic stop. Got going again and the truck was vibrating badly. Anywhere from 20 mph to 75. Felt like warped rotors. When I hit the brakes again the truck surged to one side. Scared me a little. About 5 miles from work it all went away. After work drove home in heavy traffic and every time I hit the brakes the truck seemed to lurch to one side or the other. From a dead stop and releasing the brake the truck did a (for the lack of better term) “cat butt wiggle” when the brakes released.

Stuck caliper or something worse? I got home yesterday and there seems to be more heat coming from the drive side wheel then the passengers. The caliper on the passenger side appears to be newer (not as rusted) as the driver side.
Called the dealer where the truck was just serviced, “no indication of a brake problem or needing pads when your truck was in here a week ago, $846.00 to replace the calipers.” Blow me Mr. Service man.

definitly sounds like a stuck caliper jack up the front and see whick side is harder to turn then open the bleeder screw on the caliper if it got easier to turn its a bad hose if its still hard to turn than its a stuck caliper

Toyota should do a re-call on these calipers. I think we should get a group action together.

Owning over thirty cars in my life had I ever replaced caliper twice in a short 4 years except the 4runner.

Do the hoses go bad?
There was a break system flush prefomed I guess it could have dislodged something into the caliper and or hose.

generally not as often as the caliper but it does happen and if there is anything that ive learned working on cars for 20 yrs its check twice replace once. but most likely it is a stuck caliper that warped the rotors your going to need to know the caliper model wg or wh it says it on the inside of the caliper next to where the line goes in and youll also need to measure the rotor 12" or 13"

I changed my fronts out to the drilled and slotted from Wheelers Offroad because of a pulse developing and it's gotten worse as time has gone by. Funny enough, if the brakes are cold...everything is fine, soon as they heat up its like a throbbing foot ache happening.

stuck caliper...had a similar problem on my truck...did the larger/tundra brake upgrade.problem solved napa calipers and raybestors rotors from amazon

Yeah I took the truck apart over the last two days. Found the stuck caliper. Picked up lifetime ones from Autozone. Got distracted trying to do too many repairs at once. I will update everyone maybe some pics Monday or Tuseday when I get a chance to finish it.
